CNC Machining Process
  • Drawings and CAD Data preparation
    First, it is necessary to ensure that detailed part drawings and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) data are available. This data will be directly used for programming and machining on the CNC machine.
  • Material Preparation
    Select suitable raw materials based on the drawing requirements and perform necessary pre-processing, such as cutting the material blocks to the appropriate size and removing burrs.
  • Programming
    Use CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to read the CAD files and generate G-code (numerical control programming language). The G-code precisely describes the tool path, speed, feed rate, and other machining parameters.
  • Machine Power-on Inspection
    After powering on the CNC machine, it is necessary to perform a three-axis home return and check the lubrication of the guide rails, spindle hydraulic oil, etc., to ensure the machine is in good working condition.
  • Tool Presetting
    Before machining, tool presetting must be performed. The purpose of tool presetting is to determine the accurate position of the tool within the machine coordinate system, ensuring machining accuracy. Common tool presetting methods include using a tool setter and directly referencing the workpiece surface.
  • After Machining
    Cleaning and Deburring:
    After machining, the parts need to be cleaned to remove any cutting fluid, oil, and burrs from the surface.
     
  • Quality Inspection
    Use measuring instruments or measurement equipments to inspect the machined parts for dimensional accuracy, shape accuracy, and surface roughness, ensuring the part quality meets the design requirements. The measuring instruments we have in house are ZEISS CMM, 2D Projector, Micrometer, Height gauge, Calipers, Pin Gauge,Thread gauge, Roughness tester, Ring gauge, ID Groove Gage, Hardness instrument, etc.
  • Anti-corrosion Surface Treatment
    Perform anti-corrosion treatment on the qualified parts to prevent rusting during storage and transportation.

  • Packaging and Shipment
    The qualified parts that have passed the quality inspection are packaged, and the corresponding quality certificates are included. Then, they are shipped out according to the customer's requirements via Fedex/ DHL/ UPS express, etc.
