This article investigates whether 3D printing will replace CNC machining by comparing the technologies' strengths and limitations. It concludes that neither will fully replace the other; instead, hybrid manufacturing combining both will dominate the future. Shangchen's integration of 3D printing and CNC machining exemplifies advanced OEM manufacturing solutions in China.
